Meet Randy, he receives services from the Center for Human Services Community Living and Employment Services Department. He lives at Tradewinds apartments and is also supported to maintain a full-time job in the community. Randy’s success at his home as well as at work have helped Randy increase his confidence in many areas and has become a participating and active member of his community.
Randy loves football and loves the Chiefs, and on December 15th the Kansas City Chiefs played their Divisional rivals, the Denver Broncos, at a cold and snowy Arrowhead Stadium. Not only was the game against a Divisional rival, but it was also the first appearance in Kansas City of a local athlete playing quarterback for the Denver Broncos, Drew Lock. Randy achieved his goal and was one of the many fans in attendance.
Years ago, going to a game like this and being employed in the community seemed out of reach for Randy. With the support of his staff from CHS Community Living and Employment Services, it has become a reality.
